Support & Resources for
Gifted and Multi-Exceptional People
Hello and welcome!
In a one-size-fits-most world, I am here for the outliers and those who care for them ~
Gifted, twice-exceptional, neurodivergent, absent-minded,
and those who dance to the rhythm of their own imagination
while the band marches on.
From childhood to our golden years, we can all use a little help navigating our own gifted roads.
I help gifted and 2e youth and young adults manage their job of learning, whether K-12, homeschool, or college. I help young people find or create personalized tools for organization, self-management, and self-advocacy. Together, we find strategies that work with their individual learning preferences and within their environmental constraints. I work with families to support advocacy and help grow self-advocacy skills in educational settings. If the job of school is taking over your family, I may be able to help.
I partner with Joan Larson, M.A. in Gifted, Creative, and Talented Education and experienced classroom Gifted Specialist, to offer Professional Development workshops for educators. Our workshops on gifted and twice-exceptional education and support are designed to meet educators where they are on their journey of understanding and supporting gifted and 2e learners. Topics include social emotional learning, differentiation strategies, working with families, and supporting 2e students in the classroom.
We need strong advocates and courageous caregivers for gifted individuals at many milestones along the road of life. These advocates also need care, acknowledgment, and community. Caregiver Conversations are a safe place to share the joys and struggles of caring for gifted and multi-exceptional people, whether we are raising children, caring for our elders, exploring our own needs as adults, or all of the above. Joan Larson and I facilitate discussion and resource-sharing by creating a safe and welcoming virtual space.
I love to present to parent and caregiver groups, educators, and other stakeholders on a variety of topics, including:
I am writing a book about positive advocacy for gifted and multi-exceptional families. I have the honor of sharing multiple perspectives through stories-- thank you to everyone who contributed a story to this project!
My book will be published by Prufrock Press in 2025.
Look for more news about publication dates in the coming months.
